https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/515805/distinguish-between-different-sexes-in-canonical-g.html
I'm performing a Discriminant Function Analysis. I have three subspecies, which are grouped through the analysis in a canonical function plot, showing function 1 and 2. Now I want to show the male and female subjects of the dataset with different symbols in the figure, but I can't find an option to do this. Or alternatively, I can't seem to find back which data point in the graph matches with which datapoint in the original dataset so I can adjust the symbols manually. Many thanks!plotcanonicaldiscriminantMon, 26 Aug 2019 13:41:30 GMTJvdCIBM SPSS Statistics 25 STATS_DBSCAN
https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/489972/ibm-spss-statistics-25-stats-dbscan.html
Hello,
I am using IBM SPSS Statistics 25
I have downloaded and added the **R** configuration and extension to my program and have also added the extension for STATS_DBSCAN .
The program is running fine I just need some help in interpreting the output data that I am seeing. The RGraphic which is the cluster plot of my data looks like a typical graph, though within this plot are triangles and circles and I would like to know what these shapes mean and why they appear where they do. Also why do they vary in color as some of my plots will have red, blue and green triangles?
Is there a page I can visit that can explain density-based clustering for IBM SPSS and its output?

https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/480989/before-after-plot-with-lines-for-all-cases-colored-1.html
Hi, in SPSS (vs 17) I am trying to create a before-after plot with lines for all cases, colored based on 3 categories. The data are organised as: 2 lines per case (before and after, labeled as 1 and 2), and labeled based on 3 categories of cases (labeled as 1, 2 and 3, per 2 lines per case). Using line plots I have managed to produce a before-after plot for all cases, but only with a seperate color for each case. I am also managing to create a before-after plot with 3 lines, which are all cases per category combined. Using scatter plots, I am managing to get something resembling a before-after plot, only without the connecting lines between the points, but managing to color the seperate cases based on category 1, 2 or 3. However, as described above, I want to have a before-after plot with lines colored based on three categories. I feel this should not be hard to do, but I cannot find thespss-statistics-previewplotafterMon, 19 Nov 2018 10:46:05 GMTPymzBefore-after plot with lines for all cases, colored based on 3 categories

https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/455561/how-do-i-graph-my-binary-logistic-regression-resul.html
Is it possible to make spss easily graph the results from my binary logistic regression results? I've got the results on my independent variables on my dependent variable, ie. the exp(b). I wan't to make a nice and easy to read graph that shows the nonlinear rise or fall in probability on Y by every unit increase on my X axis. But it doesn't seem like SPSS is able to do this?
Does anyone know if it is possible? And if not, what is the easiest program to use for this? Excel? Can i just export my results and make it there?

https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/437639/question-with-ggraph-templates-gpl.html
I'm creating several graphs with the ggraph command and I was wondering if the following things were possible either via GPL statements or with application of graph templates.
1) When graphing something that involves using a legend- I know I can use templates to reposition the legend or manually move the legend onto the graph itself. However, after doing this, I'm left with a large amount of white space on the right hand side of the graph that I can't remove without cropping it using an image editor. Is it possible to have the graph created with the legend on the graph somewhere, but *without* that extra white space on the right? As far as I can tell- as soon as you incorporate a legend on the graph, that white space is reserved for it.
2) When panelling / faceting graphs using the ggraph command, is it possible to have the axis labels appear on ALL graphs, rather than simply the left and bottom sides of the graphs that are paneled / faceted? Additionally, is there some sort of way to control the way in which the graphs are paneled? There is an equivalent command in r to define how the graphs are paneled- par(mfrow) or par(mfcol) can achieve a 2x2, or n x m matrix of graphs, but I can't seem to control how SPSS panels graphs.
3) Lastly, is there some guideline on how to edit the XML that is created if you save a chart template? Some of it is quite straight forward and I can identify what certain statements do by guess and check, but other parts are less obvious- any documentation would be very helpful on making SPSS graphics work better for my colleagues and I (otherwise, we're sometimes forced to utilize R for our work- which is certainly an option, but we're primarily an SPSS shop).

https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/424947/sort-by-statistic-in-dot-plot-relies-on-wrong-stat.html
On the Y-axis of my dot plot I list names of scores (string variable/nominal); on the X-axis I plot a score these persons receive on a dimension (numeric variable/scale). If I go to the properties of the Y-axis under the tab 'Categories' and sort by statistic, the dot plot is not sorted on the basis of the scores persons have received (SPSS did this before). SPSS sorts these in the order that the names of these persons appear in the Data View (either ascending or descending). I would like to know how I can make sure SPSS sorts the Y-axis on the basis of the statistic expressed on the X-axis.sortsortingplotdotWed, 17 Jan 2018 08:24:13 GMTJonathanHeersCan we make stacked bar-plot in IBM QRadar widgets?

How does one get three K-M survival curves in the same graph when the three curves based on the same data set of cases use different time to event variables? We are assessing how three algorithms for determining the event (yes/no), which produce different event dates for some cases (and thus different time to event data), affect the outcomes.plotkaplanmeierTue, 28 Mar 2017 14:06:33 GMTBluesDodgerPartial regression plot in spss
https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/311215/partial-regression-plot-in-spss.html
Dear all,
We have run a multiple regression analysis in SPSS in which we examined the link between telomere length and anxiety symptoms, while adjusting for the effects of age, IQ, socioeconomic status, and BMI.
We would like to present our results graphically using a scatterplot with telomere length on the X-axis and anxiety symptoms on the Y-axis, and show their association adjusted though for the covariates that we mentioned. So, basically a partial regression/residual plot.
We have no idea how this can be achieved in SPSS, so any assistance would be more than welcome!

I am creating a web plot and the labels for the points on the plot come up as the variable values rather than the variable name. The variables are flags with a 1 or sys miss value to them. So I just need the variable name at each point. https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/254159/use-values-from-dataset-as-reference-line-in-scatt.html
I have a dataset with K subjects, all analyzed for L aspects, M parameters per aspect and the mean and difference of 1 of these M parameters. After Layered by ASPECTS, using
GGRAPH
/GRAPHDATASET NAME="graphdataset" VARIABLES=read write
/GRAPHSPEC SOURCE=INLINE.
BEGIN GPL

DATA: write=col(source(s), name("write"))
GUIDE: form.line(position(*,60), color(color.red))
ELEMENT: point(position(read*write))
END GPL.
[taken from http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/spss/library/ggraph_examples.htm] I am able to create scatterplots with reference lines manually, but I would like to use a variable value in the dataset to replace the "60" or "65" in the code above. How can I do this?
I tried
GGRAPH
/GRAPHDATASET NAME="graphdataset" VARIABLES=read write ref
/GRAPHSPEC SOURCE=INLINE.
BEGIN GPL
SOURCE: s=userSource(id("graphdataset"))
DATA: read=col(source(s), name("read"))
DATA: write=col(source(s), name("write"))
DATA: ref=col(source(s), name("ref"))
GUIDE: form.line(position(*,"ref"), color(color.red))
ELEMENT: point(position(read*write))
END GPL.
Added is ref (constant value per ASPECT, present for each SUBJECT) in line 2, in DATA and in GUIDE. This does not work, however.spsseditorgraphsplotThu, 25 Feb 2016 13:08:29 GMTLightBV0confidence interval in interaction profile plot?
