The latest questions for the topic "nonparametric"How to calculate intra individuel differences?
https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/517854/how-to-calculate-intra-individuel-differences.html
I am relatively new to SPSS and statistical Analysis. I have a a study group of 56 patients which were measured before and after treatment. I would like to calculate the median of differences by calculating the intra individual differences.
The analysis was already done for some of the measurements in SAS using the Wilcoxon test (my data is nonparametric) and the MEANS Procedure.
I conducted the Wilcoxcon test in SPSS but can't figure out, how to calculate intra individual differences to receive the median of differences.

https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/487788/spss-syntax-for-ouput-p-value-of-npar-results-in-t.html
Hello!
I am trying to generate all my analysis per variable in SPSS-syntax and then export to Excel for ease of handling. One particular problem is the non-parametric tests, where SPSS does not generate any text, but instead it generates an image. This image can of course be exported into Excel, but it is rather useless.
Is there any way to make SPSS generate this data-table in text-format?
I am using the command;
NPTESTS
/RELATED TEST(MyVariable_post_intervention MyVariable_post_kontroll)
/MISSING SCOPE=ANALYSIS USERMISSING=EXCLUDE
/CRITERIA ALPHA=0.05 CILEVEL=95.
Any ideas?

https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/453739/can-only-see-legacy-dialogs-as-an-option-for-non-p.html
I am using SPSS 24 on Mac OS and when I go to analyze --> Nonparametric Tests, the only option I can see is 'Legacy Dialogs' and I am supposed to also see the other options which are 'One sample', 'independent samples' and 'related samples'. These are not showing up though. I have downloaded SPSS and followed the exact same steps as all my classmates but for some reason I am the only person who can only see 'Legacy dialogs'. I have tried deleting and reinstalling SPSS but to no avail. Everything else on SPSS works fine. https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/451380/how-to-perform-a-2-sample-ks-test.html
Hello everyone,
I'm new with SPSS and I would like to perform a KS test to compare 2 distributions (approx 300 and 500 values in each list [attached data txt table][1]).
I manage to upload my excel table to SPSS but I haven't been able to perform the KS test since I'm struggling with the understanding of the "groups" option that is asked to be filled.
I suppose that my data are not properly imported to SPSS, keeping me from performing the test.
Could someone share any advice on the 2 sample KS test procedure ?
Many thanks !
Laura

I am conducting a Mann Whitney U test and have obtained different U values for the new and legacy dialogues methods. Has anyone else experienced this? https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/418100/spearmans-correlation-increasing-sample-size.html
I've run Spearman's correlations on a weighted sample, and found that my sample size is greater than my actual sample size (N = 948 vs. N= 870, respectively). I am at a loss for how this could be possible, but have noted that if I run the unweighted sample, the N returns to normal. Is this a function of how the Spearman command compares ranks? I am hesitant to report my results for the incorrect N without knowing the explanation.

https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/408900/spss-npar-test-warning-insufficient-workspace-memo.html
I am attempting to run a Mann-Whitney U test using SPSS but am receiving the following warning message: 'There is insufficient workspace memory to process all the cases. Break up the request, rerun with more workspace, or use the SAMPLE subcommand. You can increase workspace with the SET WORKSPACE command.'
I have used the workspace command to increase my workspace to 20000 but am still receiving the error message.
The request is too small to break up and my dataset only has 335 participants.
All other tests are working (descriptives, ANCOVA etc).
