Good day Joerg,
In short, you can't... yet.
There is no such feature in the quickstart IoT service.
It is unlikely that this feature will exist before device security/registration is added (otherwise, anybody could send data back to your device).
If you want a longer answer or some idea of timescales, I can find out for you if you like.
Regards,
Ben
Thanks Ben, I would really interested to get some ideas of timescales. The most scenarios I'm currently thinking about are bidirectional and I won't use a different protocol for outbound responses. Cheers Joerg
Just to re-clarify where I may have made a mistake in my answer:
Sending data back to the device will never be available in the quickstart (because the quickstart will not be secure). You will need a private account for device security (and hence bidirectional data flow).
So to send data back to the device in the quickstart service: Never, you'll need an account to do this.
Hi Joerg, it's great to see you using the QuickStart portal. We are actively working on a number of enhancements to the IoT Service and as soon as they are available we will update the service and blog about the changes, here in the dW space.
