When doing SMP/E APPLY of PTF UI22673 for CICS Transaction Gateway (CICS TG) APAR PI35018, why does it fail abnormally with an abend B37 RC04 SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=B37 REASON CODE=00000004 or GIM69200E?

Answer

CICS TG V9.1 PTF UI22673 (and any subsequent CICS TG PTF updating part CTG00974) is a large PTF and contains the following ++ HOLD data: "This PTF includes the CICS TG SDK, which is a large SMP/E part. To apply this PTF you might need to increase the size of the SMP/E scratch and/or work datasets."
