Question
How do I change the Language Environment (LE) run-time options for my CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) regions ? The default LE run-time options are not correct in my environment.
Answer
Refer to Defining runtime options for Language Environment under CICS Transaction Server documentation in the IBM Knowledge Center for a list methods you can use to set the Language Environment runtime options in CICS.
These methods are also documented in more detail in the IBM Knowledge Center in the z/OS 2.1 section on Specifying Run-Time Options under CICS .
Note that when creating a CEEROPT module for region level settings that only affect one CICS region, you must:
Change the run time options you want to override on the CEEXOPT macro
Change the CSECT name and labels from CEEDOPT to CEEROPT
Make sure your CICS DFHRPL libraries contain the newly assembled module
Refer to the z/OS 2.1 documentation on Customizing Language Environment run-time options in the IBM Knowledge Center for more details about each LE option, including the default values for CICS and z/OS.
