Cannot retrieve newly created Projects via Eclipse Client SDK

Question by unit66  (3) | Jul 02, 2014 at 10:44 AM devops-servicesjazzhubeclipsesdkdoc

I am trying to access JazzHub projects via the Eclipse Client SDK. While I am able to access projects I created a while back just fine, newly created projects are simply not retrieved. I even gave it a day. If I use the Eclipse Client itself (Manage JazzHub projects), the new projects are listed. But using my own Java Client, I can't see them.

What I have tried is:

  • IProcessItemService.findAllProjectAreas(IProcessClientService.ALL_PROPERTIES, monitor);
  • IProcessItemService.findProcessAreas(getTeamRepository().loggedInContributor(), null, IProcessClientService.ALL_PROPERTIES, monitor);
  • IProcessClientService.service.findProcessArea(encodedProjectAreaUriPath, IProcessClientService.ALL_PROPERTIES, monitor);

All methods have been shown to work with old projects, so I am fairly certain I got the parameters somewhat right. My new project names are as simple as "dummy" (e.g. for encodedProjectAreaUriPath, I then sent "unittester%20%7C%20dummy").

I have been using the RTC 5.0 SDK, and the RTC Client I used for manual testing has been installed from the same bits, so no difference in version there for sure.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

One thing to double check is that you have the right ccm server for the project you're trying to access. If you open Track & Plan for your project in the web ui, the url will show what ccm server your project is using (ccm01, ccm02, etc).

You are perfectly right Lauren, thanks so much. Can't believe I didn't check this, certainly makes sense (and also makes sense now that with the Eclipse Client I can actually see the projects, given hiding this from users is more user friendly).

I'm happy that fixed it for you!
