QUESTION: During Trail period run I was never able to create Virtual Machine to test. I was always told to wait for a E-mail message with instructions which never came. I tried this many times with the same poor results.
NOTES: I reviwed the VM questions like mine and they all seem to get into the create VM code and have issues but I have not been able to get anywhere.
I am a new IBM Partner (8o6k9) and operate my own consulting corporation with a focus on Software Development and Configuration Management. I have run Capuchin Computer Consultants Inc. for 20 years now and have over 30 years of computer industry experience in almost all areas.
I just completed a 20 month contract for one of your larger clients, AAM in Detroit, MI. As I have for many years I provided them support for their CLM v4.0.6 product from IBM Rational. I consult on many SCM tools like CLM, TFS, Harvest, etc. but focus mostly on the CLM (RTC, RQM, DOORS-NG) product from IBM.
Since 19JAN2015 I have been on sabbatical working on a POC for a cloud based SCM product using either TFS-2010 or CLM 5.0.2. I have tested already the AWS and GOOGLE products (great product from Google I may add) and very much so wanted to get some 'Stick Time' on the IBM product.
I signed up for the Trial period as miked348@gmail.com but was never able to create a Virtual Machine which is what I need for my POC as I am looking to develop both a PaaS and IaaS. I was always told when I attempted to create a VM that I would soon receive E-mail to mike@difulvio.net (my IBM ID E-mail address?) but that E-mail never came.
I have been speaking with Juan Salazar of your IBM about my finding out what was wrong with my Trial period and the VM testing that failed for me. He also thought I may be able to get additional trial time to complete my POC on SCM tool cloud deployment.

I never received my email either, so I assumed the VM feature was still not ready.
I too wanted to test this feature.
Not sure if anyone from IBM monitors these forums, but would be nice to get a status update on the VM feature set.

Hi Mike,
The beta for the VM service was delayed due to some technical problems that were found, so that's why you haven't yet received an approval email.
I am working with our Bluemix team to figure out how to extend the Bluemix beta period for those users who signed up for the VM beta but didn't yet get to use it. Please stay tuned.

I am in trial, "Create a Virtual Machine" was not enabled in my dashboard. Raised a request yesterday (7th of July). Have not got a conformation mail on my account is ready.
What is the turn around time for "getting an ID added to VMSpace" and after that how long create VM will take.
