How do I install the WebSphere Developer Tooling (WDT) OSGi Application Development feature version 8.5.5 into the CICS Explorer? I'm trying to implement the JDBC servlet example that comes with CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V5.2. When I try to export the bundle to the USS directory, I get the following message:

com.ibm.cics.server.examples.wlp.jdbc.bundle could not be exported. Please install the WebSphere Developer Tooling OSGi Application Development feature version 8.5.5

Here are the steps you should take to install WebSphere Developer Tooling OSGi Application Development feature into your CICS Explorer.

  1. Add the following link to your Available Software Sites (Help > Install New Software) http://public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/websphere/wasdev/updates/wdt/V8.5.5/

  2. Select "OSGi Application Development Tools" under "WebSphere Application Server Development Tools for Eclipse V8.5.5.2.iFix.1"

  3. Click next and follow the on-screen directions to install the plugin.
