Question & Answer
Question
The FTP client is not writing SMF record types 118 or 119.
Answer
FTP client trace shows the following:
write_smf_record: return code from EZBPAINX is hex value 0
write_smf_record: calling EZBPAGLU to write the smf record
SMF record not written: return code from smf interface is 9
or
write_smf_record_119: return code from EZBPAINX is hex value 0
write_smf_record_119: calling EZBPAGLU to write the smf record
write_smf_record_119: SMF record not written: return code from smf interface is 9
A return code of 9 indicates that the TCPIP stack is not recording SMF records for the FTP client.
To permit the client to issue SMF type 118 or 119 records, in the TCPIP profile, code FTPCLIENT on the SMFCONFIG statement.
