The code 2F in message IST985I indicates that you are using the Client/Server package of either VSE VTAM or VM VTAM, and that the Client/Server package does not support the specific exit you activated.

The only exit routines supported by the Client/Server package are:

• the session accounting exit routine

• the session authorization exit routine.

The exit exit_name cannot be loaded and will not be invoked.

Issue the D NET,VTAMOPTS command to display the following message that indicates the installed package:

   IST1497I  VTAM FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT LEVEL  IS *package_name*

Contact your system programmer to determine if this exit routine is really needed.[] If it is needed, in order to use the exit exit_name, you must upgrade to the MultiDomain or InterEnterprise package.

Installation-wide exit routines that require the MultiDomain or InterEnterprise package are as follows:

• Session management exit routine

• Virtual route selection exit routine

• Virtual route pacing window size calculation exit routine

• Configuration services exchange identification (XID) exit routine

• Selection of definitions for dependent LUs (SDDLU) exit routine

• Command verification exit routine

• USERVAR exit routine

• Directory services management exit routine
