We are planning for the upcoming leap second and want to know if we need to do anything to our WebSphere Service Registry and Repository server.

The short answer is no, WSRR will not be affected the the leap second and no preparation needs to be made to either WSRR nor WebSphere Application Server. There is however an issue with Linux, therefore, if you are running on Linux please check the below links for details.
