To perform a quick EE connectivity test to verify basic connectivity between two EE endpoints, issue a DISPLAY NET,EEDIAG,TEST=YES,LIST=SUMMARY command.
If your IP configuration includes firewalls that block Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) messages, prior to V1R13 the existence of such firewalls resulted in delayed EE connectivity test results. But starting with V1R13, the DISPLAY NET,EEDIAG,TEST=YES,LIST=SUMMARY command does not require ICMP messages to flow to verify basic EE connectivity, providing expedited test results when firewalls blocking ICMP messages exist in your IP configuration..
