What do I need to be aware of when upgrading my hardware to an IBM z13 mainframe? I want to make sure there are no known problems with the software that I use like CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) or the CICS Tools.

I would recommend that you periodically review the following sources of information:

The z13 PSP buckets for UPGRADE 2964DEVICE and SUBSET 2964/ZOS
The IBM Fix Categories for z13
The Software Product Compatibility Reports (Click the "Detailed System Requirements" link in the left nav, enter the Full or partial product name for the products you are using ...), and review the Hardware tab for z/OS

I would also recommend bookmarking the following topic on General recommendations and considerations for a z13 server and the z13 Announcement letter.
