Question & Answer
Question
I need to determine the installed maintenance level of a TCP/IP module on my z/OS system. Is there a command I can use for determining that?
Answer
To determine the installed maintenance level of a TCP/IP module on your z/OS system, enter the command:
D TCPIP,procname,STOR,MODULE=module_name
As an example, here is output from the D TCPIP,procname,STOR,MODULE=EZBIFINB command, showing that the installed maintenance level for EZBIFINB is PTF UQ94185:
EZZ8456I TCPIP MODULE STORAGE 824
EZBIFINB LOADED AT 1636E788 IN LOAD MODULE EZBTIINI
+0000 A7F40017 00C020C5 E9C2C9C6 C9D5C240 *X4.....EZBIFINB
+0010 F0F44BF2 F9F440F1 F17AF1F5 7AF1F740 *04.294 11.15.17
+0020 E4D8F9F4 F1F8F500 A7F40003 063890EC *UQ94185.X4......
EZZ8459I DISPLAY TCPIP STOR COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY
This command displays modules within load modules EZBTIINI, EZBITCOM, EZBPFINI, EZBTLMST, EZBTLCMN, and EZBTLCLG only.
This command does not provide information for the FTP server TCP/IP modules, or for the TN3270E server modules. A different command - DISPLAY TCPIP,tnproc,STOR,module=mod_ID - is available for displaying the currently installed PTF level of a TN3270E server module.
