Why am I receiving message 'IGYOS4090-I The "LIB" option specification is no longer required' when using the CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) translator? Is it caused by my recent upgrade to COBOL Version 5?

Yes, this is caused by a change made to Enterprise COBOL for z/OS Version 5. Now, message "IGYOS4090-I The "LIB" option specification is no longer required. COBOL library processing is always in effect." is issued when using the COBOL compiler. This occurs when translating your CICS programs with the CBLCARD option.

A good way to avoid this problem is to specify the NOCBLCARD translator option or use the integrated translator .
