Hi,
I have a generic Component template that I am creating multiple components from, and then using an "Install Multiple Components" step to install them all in an Application process. The components that are installed in this step are limited to a specific tag. My template is versioned (from RAM) and thus the components are too (each sets the specific unique ID of the resource they want to get).
I have set a tag at the component template level, which is then inherited by any components created from this template. These components are then correctly tagged in the Component view.
When I come to run my "Install Multiple Components" step, none of them get picked up. Running the application process does not ask me for a version for these components, and the Application process does not list them in the "Inventory Changes" tab.
However, I have found (after much head-scratching and trying random things), that if I don't set the tag on the template, and instead manually add it to each component, then the whole system works as intended.
This seems like a bug to me. The "Install Multiple Component" step is not able to see inherited tags, whereas the Component view does. Naturally I wanted as much common config to be in the template as possible, and although I have a workaround it isn't as clean as I'd like. Has anyone come across this before?

This sounds like a defect, I would suggest opening up a ticket with UCD support.
