Why did my CICS region take a dump with a title of "COMPON=SCHED-IEFENFSR,COMPID=BB131,ISSUER=IEFENFSR-ENF SRB"? I am running CICS Transaction server for z/OS (CICS TS) with security manager CA ACF2 from CA Technology. A dump of CICS is taken, but the dump is not taken by CICS. The title of the dump indicates it involves ENF and SRB processing.
Answer
The dump showed a program check- ABEND0C4 occurred on an SRB, when ENF was notifying CICS for event- 71 RACF_USERID_CHANGED. The PSW pointed to DFHMENS, and the program check occurred due to referencing storage that was not allocated- previously freemained. CICS Internal trace showed the following exception:
US 0906 USES EXC - Bad_ENF_data
The problem was due to CA ACF2 freemaining this storage. ACF2 took APAR TR82175 to address this problem. Contact CA Technologies for further assistance
