Question

Why is an ACF2 CICS password change confirmation screen being returned when a password is changed instead of just the message ACF01129 PASSWORD SUCCESSFULLY ALTERED? I run CICS with CA ACF2 from CA Technologies as my external security manager. I used to be able to signon to CICS and change my password and only get a text version of the ACF01129 message confirming the change. Now, I get a fully formatted BMS screen with the message. This is causing problems for my screen-scraping scripts. I would like to get password changes to go back to the previous behavior.

Answer

This is something that needs to be addressed by CA ACF2 support. They have issued fix number TC9800M for ACF2 program CAKSSN67. The fix number and program name may vary depending on the release of CICS and ACF2 you are running. You will need to contact CA Technologies directly for a fix.
