My system is running the EZBMCOPY utility as a started task. But it will occasionally end with a system 522 ABEND. How can I fix that?
Answer
The started task needs to be exempted from the SMF wait time limit. Add TIME=1440 to the EXEC statement in the EZBMCOPY procedure.
Alternatively, you can add a PPT entry to the SCHEDxx PARMLIB member for the EZBMCOPY program with the SYST (System Task) keyword. But that would also cause it to run in the SYSSTC WLM class, and (since this utility is only used during transition from the legacy SMTP server to CSSMTP) would need to be removed later.
