Question & Answer
Question
I have recently upgraded from CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS (CICS IA) V5.1 to CICS IA V5.2.
When attempting to logon to the CICS IA plugin, I am seeing the following error:
IZE0106E Connect failed with error "userid" DOES NOT HAVE THE PRIVILEGE TO PERFORM OPERATION "SELECT" ON OBJECT "schema.CIU_RESOURCE" (udb_host:portnumber)
I am using a UDB (DB2 Express) rather than DB2 on the mainframe.
I am assuming this is a security change I would need to make in DB2 Express, correct?
I am unable to run queries in CICS IA.
This was working prior to the upgrade of CICS IA from V5.1 to V5.2.
Answer
I do not know of anything unique related to DB2 Universal Database (UDB) privileges that changed in CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS V5.2 or the CICS IA 5.2 plug-in.
Make sure your UDB userid has DATAACCESS and schema privilege to the CICSIA schema. See Authorization, privileges, and object ownership in the DB2 documentation for more information.
The text of the IZE0106E message matches a -551 SQLCODE as described by SQL message SQL0551N.
I hope these references help you configure your DB2 UDB privileges for your CICS IA schema access.
