DFHDB8241 PSB schedule unsuccessful UIB return codes 0801 when using CDBM

Question

When trying to communicate with IMS from CICS using CDBM, why am I getting message DFHDB8241 PSB schedule unsuccessful. UIB return codes (X'0801')? I'm trying to connect CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V4.1 to IMS V12 on z/OS V2.1. CDBC says that CICS is connected to IMS, but CICS can not communicate with IMS through CDBM.

Answer

A x'0801' return code normally means that a PSB named DFHDBMP was not generated, or if it was generated that the ACBGEN was not done. Please make sure that you defined PSB DFHDBMP to IMS and that you have done a PSBGEN and an ACBGEN.
