Question & Answer
Question
How can I display BROADCAST messages that have been entered when using IBM Session Manager for z/OS (ISM)?
Answer
There is no ISM command you can enter to display messages that have already been broadcast and delivered. But, the ISM Auditlog can be browsed and searched for any previous broadcasts by looking for message number ISZ0325I.
ISZ0325I MESSAGE nnn date time type FROM userid node (GENERAL BROADCAST)
If a BROADCAST command was entered with the FOR or HOLD options, you can enter a QUERY BROADCAST command to see any held brodacast messages that haven't been delivered yet. You can also use the DELETE BROADCAST message-number command to delete any held broadcast messages.
