Hi,
I am thinking of moving my VM (with my data) from US-South to UK location. I have searched around and found someone had the same demand. I would like to ask if it's possible to do that migration? If no, does Bluemix have a plan to implement this feature? I think it would be one of the most powerful feature all users are looking to see. Thank you.
I submitted your request on the IBM Bluemix Ideas site.

Hi,
I have not done this yet. But you can create a snapshot, and download to your local machine. And then you can create machine image from/to US/UK region. This is a sample procedure (it is about IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack, but the idea is the same).
Your solution can resolve this case except one thing: The time you might take to download and reupload the snapshot. It may be reasonable if the snapshot is big. In my point of view, the migration should be supported by the cloud provider because of the performance and scalability. Both Google and Amazon cloud are supporting this feature.

Hi,
You might want to check out the docs on managing VM images at https://www.eu-gb.bluemix.net/docs/virtualmachines/vm_index.html#vm_manage_images and https://www.eu-gb.bluemix.net/docs/virtualmachines/vm_index.html#vm_default_images They provide instructions on downloading and uploading VM images.
