Question
When promoting a large Package or Architecture Definition that includes a lot of parts, I get a S878 Abend. How do I fix this?
Answer
When this occurs, the first thing to try is increasing the region size of the promote job for a batch promote, or the user's region size for a foreground promote. If the region size is at its maximum, then break the large promote down into several smaller promotes by creating new archdefs.
