I did data processing in SPSS Modeler and I want to use R algorithms by using R node in SPSS Modeler. When I paste the R codes (which run on R programme correctly) in R modeling node, "Failed to start R" warning comes up.
My questions :
How can I get rid of this message?
Can I install R packages in SPSS? How?
Syntax is different in SPSS or not?
Can you give examples by using R algorithms (which are not in SPSS Modeling Palette) in SPSS Modeler?
If you are using SPSS Modeler 16, be sure that you are using R 2.15.x
Here you have a link with the information.
yes you can install R Packages. You can install them directly in the R Console and they will be available in Modeler or you can use Modeler to install them. Check the last section of this article: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/ba-spssmodeler16-r-nodes/
Syntax is different to SPSS....R is a different language. We have plenty of new nodes based on R, all of them available here: http://ibmpredictiveanalytics.github.io/
I hope this helps!
