Question & Answer
Question
When a command is in the command table, ISPF handles the command before the application is able to process it. Occasionally, an entry in the command table has the same name as an application command. For example, PRINT and LIST are common commands within applications, but because these commands also exist in the ISPF command table, they are not handled by applications which may use them.
Answer
To bypass the command table and force the command to be seen by your application, type a greater-than symbol (>) before the command on the command line. For example, if there is a command table entry for LIST but you want a LIST command to be processed by your application, type >LIST on the command line.
