When deploying the CICS Transaction Gateway (CICS TG) supplied Installation Verification Test (IVT) application under Websphere, the jndi resource name is defined as 'java:comp/env/ECI'. Attempting the same deployment under JBoss fails. Can the IVT be deployed to a JBoss application server?
Answer
JBoss expects the jndi resource to be defined in the following format:
'java:/comp/env/ECI' (note the leading backslash character '/' )
By redefining the resource definitions to the format JBoss expects, the IVT should be able to be deployed in a JBoss application server, where supported.
