When starting TIP windows service, an error message appears like so:
Windows could not start <TIP Service name> on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft servicem contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code <error code>
In Windows System Event log, the event ID is 7024.
Here is the technote used to remove and add TIP service, http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21620169

Although the error returned is with event 7024, documented in Microsoft Technet here -> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756369(v=ws.10).aspx ; the cause of unable to start TIP windows service is due to some WebSphere processes may still be lingering around such as server.pid is still present in <TIP_HOME>\profiles\TIPProfile\logs\server1\
To workaround is to stop TIP in command line, like so: <TIP_HOME>\profiles\TIPProfile\bin>stopServer.bat server1 -username -password
Once done, start the service via Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services, the service should start without error.
If issue persists, contact ITSM support at https://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/support
