IZE0106E Couldn't connect - web service client couldn't be created (IA Collector)

The CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS Version 5.3 Explorer plug-in is not backward compatible with pre IA 5.3 IA Collector connections that use an ATOMSERVICE versus 5.3 which now uses a new WEBSERVICE for the IA Collector connection.

If you need to manage the CICS IA Collector from the Explorer IA plug-in for releases prior to 5.3, you need to continue to use the pre 5.3 CICS IA plugin.

Here is information on how to delete the old ATOMSERIVCE RDO definitions from your CICS CSD and deploy the new WEBSERVICE RDO definitions.

Part of upgrading to CICS IA V5.3 on the host side involves the removal of the ATOMSERVICE RDO definitions from prior versions. You can use the customized job CIUDELGR sourced from SCIUSAMP to remove the ATOMSERVICE CSD group. This is described in the CICS IA V5.3 documentation in topic Creating the upgraded collection environment in 'Step 3 - Updating the IA resources to CICS' and the CIUJCWEB job is described in the topic 'To define the web service resources that are required by CICS IA'.

IBM also plans on updating the CICS IA V5.3 documentation to describe the incompatibility as well as adding a note to the IBM Software Product Compatibility Reports for CICS IA V5.3.
