Question
Why do I receive message DFHXS0001 abend (code 0F8/AKEB) has occurred at offset X'FFFF' in module DFHXSRC? This is followed by DFHXM0305. The failing application appears to be doing a Write To Operator (WTO) when the error occurs. I am using CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V5.1.
Answer
Offset FFFF indicates the abend is in a module other than module DFHXSRC being reported in the message. The system dump of XS0001 shows the abend is out of a CA Technologies module named AT8#GBL. The program interrupt information shows "Program DFHXSRC was in control, but the PSW was elsewhere."
Program AT8#GBL performs 'CA Cleanup for RACF'. After applying fix TR89676 from CA Technologies this problem no longer occurred. Contact CA Technologies to obtain the fix.
