Question

After upgrading CICSPlex SM (CPSM) from V4.1 to V5.2, why is my MAS returning message DFHSI1579D Module DFHSIPLT PLT program EYU9NXLM not found Reply GO or CANCEL?

I have program EYU9NXLM defined in post-initialization program list table (PLTPI) and system initialization table (SIT) parameter CPSMCONN=LMAS set.

Answer

Message DFHSI1579D for EYU9NXLM is being returned because both program EYU9NXLM is defined in the PLTPI and SIT parameter CPSMCONN=LMAS is being specified.

It is strongly recommended that you use the CPSMCONN system initialization parameter. However, if you continue to use the PLTPI, do not specify CPSMCONN at the same time. When using the PLTPI, you should be aware that the PLTPI program name is dependent upon the CICS release the MAS is running:

  • If the MAS is running CICS TS V4.1, V4.2, or V5.1 (660 through 680), the PLTPI program remains EYU9NXLM

  • If the MAS is running CICS TS V5.2 (690) , the PLTPI program is CJF9NXLM

  • if the MAS is running CICS TS V5.3 (700), the PLTPI program is CJG9NXLM
