CICS PA 5.3 - Missing option 5. Define Alerts

The navigation change was introduced in CICS PA V5.2 and is described as follows in the Summary of Changes topic June 2014: CICS PA V5.2 under the "ISPF dialog changes" heading.

The option to define statistics alerts, which was option 5 on the CICS Statistics Reporting Menu, is now option 5 on the Resource Definitions Menu.

Therefore, to define statistics alerts:

1. From the CICSPA V5.3 main menu select option 8 Resource Definition which presents panelid CPARPTDF for Resource Definitions Menu

2. Select option 5 Statistics Alerts which presents panelid CPASTART for Statistics Alert Definitions

For your question on "How do you update an existing statistic group?"
If the menu for Maintaining System Groups is not displayed under the option 1 Systems and then either option 1 or 2 for Personal or Shared system definitions, you can use the View menu action to select the menu or groups to maintain group definitions. The dialog is described in the CICS PA documentation in topic Maintaining Shared Group Definitions.
