TSS9406E followed by DFHUS0002 and a dump for US0002

Question & Answer

Question

Why did I get message CA Top Secret message TSS9406E followed by CICS message DFHUS0002 and a dump for error US0002?

These are the messages:

TSS9406E PROBABLE SITE INTERFACING ERROR (036)
DFHUS0002 A severe error (code X'0309') has occurred in module DFHUSAD.

Answer

CA Top Secret Fix # RO90784 will correct this error.

You can follow these steps to determine if you have the same problem that is :

  1. Look at a dump was taken for the CICS US0002 error.

  2. Find the exception trace entries (EXC) in the trace for the error.

  3. Look to see if the problem happened during DELETE_EXPIRED_USERS ( Delete Expired Users) processing under the TI (Timer) task. You can verify this by going to the KE domain in the dump and finding the KE_NUM for the task. Find the @STACK entry for the DFHUSAD process for the task. See if DELETE_EXPIRED_USERS is the process that gets the SEVERE_ERROR.

If you would like to see what userid was involved in the error, go to the storage pointed to by the @STACK address. At about offset +x'6C0' will be the userid that CICS requested be deleted and was rejected by the external security manager (ESM).
