New security user or groups added to P8 is unable to add content
Users are getting an error ""The system cannot read the property definitions" when trying to add a document in WorkplaceXT.
Workplace or WorkplaceXT retrieves Class Definitions and Property Definitions in order to display the properties page, therefore "View All properties" and "Read Permissions" access are required on the class descriptions. The first thing to do is check the root Document and Folder classes.
If the users or groups were added using manual process in ACCE or FEM the objecstore, we strongly recommend re-adding them using OS Script Wizard to avoid these known security related issues when done manually.
Troubleshooting these issue are very time consuming and will or may require numerous requests for P8 trace logging. We recommend avoiding it by using the Script Wizard.
