Hi All,
I am working on developing a scanning application using Datacap.
Can anyone let me know whether we can allow users to allow grouping pages to documents.
Or do we always have to use separators to separate documents.
And also, how can we export multpage documents to FileNet.
Any reply in this regard will be of great help.
Thanking you,
Nimmy

Hi
1. I am not understand what do you mean with MANUAL GROUPING PAGES TO DOCUMENTS... but there is no need to use separator sheets if you have somethink that you know where the document ends and whens starts the next one.
2. Of course you could export Multipage documents to FileNet, in MultiTiff or PDF. You need to convert all pages of the document on your prefered format and the execute the upload actions on document level.

Hi Raj
Yes its possible. As replied by Munnaluvsu, refer to TravelDocs application. Also for brief understanding refer to "Datacap Application Development Guide 8.1".
In the traveldocs application, they have added a workflow in Pageid step such that whenever it is not able to id the page it will automatically go to ManualPageID task. In this task the user can manually id the page in the browser itself.
I hope it resolves ur issue.

Deekshith.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
By Manual Grouping of pages, I meant that if the user scans 5 pages, can the user separate first 2 pages to a document1 and next 3 pages to document2 without using separator sheets and also, can the user change the page type or document type during verify task.
Thanks for your suggestion regarding exporting multipage documents to FileNet.

are there 2 document nodes created in your document hierarchy?
if yes, please see travel docs application on how to separate pages into their documents without separators.
yes, you can change the page type or document type in verification task... before that please tell us which verification you are using -- web verification or dot scan verification???
if web, you can use aIndex or Verifine aspx pages and try.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I am pretty new to taskmaster and do not have much idea about it.
I have only a single document node but with 2 page nodes. How can I create multiple documents in same batch with same document type.
I am using web verification.
Can you also help me with how exactly I can split the documents during verify.
Thanks in Advance.

Nimmy
