Question
Why does OMEGAMON Messaging on z/OS TEP show a deleted execution group in statistics data?
We deleted an execution group from their WebSphere Message Broker V8, and this deleted execution group is showing up in the WebSphere Message Broker monitoring agent's Archive Accounting Message Flow Statistics TEP workspace. How do we clean up retained publications previously produced by the broker for this deleted execution group so it doesn't show up in our Archive Accounting Message Flow Statistics workspace?
Answer
To clear up this deleted execution group:
1) Issue the following command (which is one line) to the MQ queue manager used by the broker:
CLEAR TOPICSTR('$SYS/Broker//StatisticsAccounting/Archive//#') CLRTYPE(RETAINED)
where: is the command prefix for the applicable queue manager is the name of the broker is the name of the old deleted execution group
2) Restart the WebSphere Message Broker monitoring agent, and then the archive statistics related to the deleted execution group should not show up in TEP.
