I understand that we are able to upload multiples of the same documents into FileNet via Content Navigator and it will show the exact results.
Eg. 5 files uploaded. when search is performed, I will retrieve 5 of the files.
How do we ensure or is there a feature to be turn on to filtered out those 4 files and showing only 1 unique file?
Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Hello -
I did some research from the ICN application standpoint and there is no apparent out of the box setting to eliminate duplicate results. This request is seemingly counterintuitive to the search process, as ICN is designed to return all results from the repository matching the operators assigned in the search parameters.
In order to achieve this functionality (from an ICN perspective), you would need to investigate developing a custom search plugin.

The Filenet SME resources tagged on this post may have suggestions from the repository side.
Thanks,

Just more comments. I would think there may also need to be a tool to prevent duplicate document be added into repository. But it may also need repository side suggestions like Mark said.
