Question
When I build in batch, I get an error, but when I look at the sysout, I can't see what went wrong. How can I see where the error is?
Answer
When you submit your build from SCLM option 4 (Build), check the Output Control section of the panel. Under Sub, if you set Messages, Report, and Listings to 2 (printer), you can see all of the SCLM output in SYSOUT. You can use SDSF to view the SCLM messages in BLDMSGS, the SCLM build report in BLDREPT, and the compiler listings in BLDLIST.
If you do not want to see the listings for successful compiles, be sure to select / Error Listings only
