Should I be getting the KMQMI171I message for an invalid Queue Manager? For example, if I added SET MANAGER NAME(QMGR) but QMGR is not started or even defined to the system, should I still see:
KMQMI171I Node QMGR:SYS:MQESA is online

Yes, you will be seeing the KMQMI171I Node is online even if the queue manager in the SET MANAGER NAME is not defined or not started.
