Question & Answer

Question

In z/OSMF Configuration Assistant, how do I specify tuning values for AT-TLS?

Answer

in z/OSMF this is done in Configuration>Configuration Assistant task>Connectivity Rule>Advanced>AT-TLS>Tuning

Tuning

Use this panel to specify tuning values for this AT-TLS traffic type. Before you begin, decide on the values and settings that you want to specify in the steps below. If you are satisfied with the defaults, you do not need to change anything on this panel.

Steps:

  • Select whether to have AT-TLS handshakes time out; if so, type the timeout value.

  • Select whether to use sysplex session identifier caching.

  • Select whether to allow SSL fragment size negotiation. If SSL fragment size negotiation is allowed then specify whether it is required or optional. If SSL fragment size negotiation is allowed then select a fragment length for the negotiation.

You have completed this panel when you have specified the values and settings that you want to have different from the defaults in the steps above. You can find more detailed help on the following elements of this window:

  • AT-TLS handshake timeout

  • Sysplex session identifier caching

  • SSL fragment size negotiation

  • SSL Fragment Length
