What is the purpose of the AS_Boundary_Routing configuration statement of the OMPROUTE application?
Answer
The AS_Boundary_Routing statement is used by OMPROUTE's OSPF routing protocol to do the following:
Import RIP, static, or direct routes into the OSPF domain. Direct routes are generic routes generated from plain-vanilla INTERFACE statements.
Import subnet routes that are neither RIP, static, nor direct (generic) into the OSPF domain.
Originate an OSPF external default route.
Allow OSPF to learn RIP or OSPF external default routes
If you are not using OSPF, the AS_Boundary_Routing statement is not needed.
