Question & Answer

Question

How can I display the routing information the default TCP/IP stack will use when it determines what addresses it can communicate with and over which links/interfaces and first hops the communication will take place?

Answer

From the TSO environment, issue this command:

 NETSTAT ROUTE

From the UNIX shell environment, issue this command:

 netstat -r

If the stack is IPv6-enabled, then both IPv4 and IPv6 routing information are displayed.
