Problems licensing SPSS 24 for mac as a student
Hello. I downloaded and installed SPSS 24 through my university. I received an IP address, from the university, to use on concurrent user license. This IP address was accepted and said "Your license is effective the next time you start your product". Although next, when I launch SPSSStatistics, it continue to not assume that validation, and asks me again to validate the product or continue to use a trial-version. How can this situation be solved? Thank you
Go to Statistics 24 installation folder, e.g. /Applications/IBM/SPSS/Statistics/24/SPSSStatistics.app/ Contents/bin
rename the file "lservrc" to "lservrc_old".
Open the file "spssprod.inf" using Notepad, and set the value of DaemonHost as the IP of machine which License Manager is installed on. e.g. DaemonHost=9.11.123.3
Then launch Statistics 24.
