Question & Answer
Question
Why am I receiving message DFHAM4912E for programs DFHPIVAL, DFJIIRP, DFJIIRQ, and DFHADJR after upgrading to CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V5.3? I would like to remove or update the definitions for these IBM protected programs so that I do not see this message again.
CICS returns the following messages:
DFHAM4912 E Install of PROGRAM DFHPIVAL failed because
JVMPROFILE is invalid for this release.
DFHAM4912 E Install of PROGRAM DFJIIRP failed because
JVMPROFILE is invalid for this release.
DFHAM4912 E Install of PROGRAM DFJIIRQ failed because
JVMPROFILE is invalid for this release.
DFHAM4912 E Install of PROGRAM DFHADJR failed because
JVMPROFILE is invalid for this release.
Answer
If you do the following you should no longer receive message DFHAM4912 E for programs DFHPIVAL, DFJIIRP, DFJIIRQ, and DFHADJR:
Check that the program definition for DFHPIVAL specifies JVMSERVER(DFHJVMS) and that JVMPROFILE is not specified. DFHPIVAL is defined in the DFHPIVAL group.
Check that your group list (GRPLIST) for CICS TS 5.3 does not have any compatibility groups like DFHCOMPF and DFHCOMPD on it. DFJIIRP, DFJIIRQ and DFHADJR are only defined in DFHCOMPF which should not be on your CICS TS 5.3 startup group list.
Check to make sure that when you ran the DFHCSDUP UPGRADE command that the CICS TS 5.3 SDFHLOAD was used in the STEPLIB DD statement.
