Question & Answer
Question
How can we determine which version of IKE we are running?
Answer
To determine the version of IKE you are running, issue this z/OS UNIX ipsec display command:
ipsec -p stackname -k display
where stackname is the tcpprocname value of the local TCP/IP stack for which the ipsec command is authorized.
Here is an example of the part of the ipsec display command output that contains the IKE version number:
CS V2R2 ipsec Stack Name: TCPCS5 Fri Nov 25 17:40:56 2011
Primary: IKE tunnel Function: Display Format: Detail
Source: IKED Scope: Current TotAvail: n/a
TunnelID: K1
Generation: 1
IKEVersion: 1.0
