Question & Answer
Question
After upgrading to CA ACF2 to version 16, why did I start receiving CICS message:
DFHCE3500 Unable to interpret keyword data. Sign-on is terminated.
On the first attempt to logon using CESN, I receive DFHCE3500. But, if I clear the screen and enter CESN again with the userid and password, the logon works successfully. On my test LPAR with this same upgrade to CA ACF2 V16, I did not see the sign-on failure.
Answer
A dump captured on the DFHCE3500 shows that the running transaction is CESL.
Ensure the CESL transaction points to the ACF2 program ACFAEUSC, then you should no longer receive message DFHCE3500.
The sample ACF2CSD member provided with CA ACF2 also defines transaction CESN and CESF pointing to program ACFAEUSC. Contact CA Technologies if you need additional assistance.
