Question
When running an SMP/E ACCEPT job for a z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition (EE) PTF, I get the following warning message:
GIM23903W LINK-EDIT PROCESSING FOR SYSMOD UInnnnn WAS SUCCESSFUL FOR MODULE BAQWEBT IN LMOD BAQWEBT IN THE ABAQMOD LIBRARY. THE RETURN CODE WAS 04
Answer
GIM23903W with RC=04 during an the SMP/E ACCEPT of a z/OS Connect EE SYSMOD which updates module BAQWEBT is acceptable.
This occurs because the linkedit of BAQWEBT into ABAQMOD contains unresolved references. The linkedit RC=04 is percolated to SMP/E on the basis that it should be looked at to ensure there has not been an unexpected failure.
