Are there any problems processing zEnterprise Data Compression (zEDC) compressed SMF logstreams using CICS Performance Analyzer for z/OS (CICS PA)? I am running CICS PA V5.3 and our Performance Summary report processing SMF zEDC logstream fails with IEA995I S0C1 abend in module CPAMAIN, CSECT COMCSIXG, offset X'F06'.

CICS PA does not support zEnterprise Data Compression (zEDC) compressed SMF logstreams.

If you require CICS PA to process zEDC SMF data, please submit an Request-For-Enhancement (RFE) for "CICS Performance Analyzer" using the following link:

https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/?PROD_ID=459

As a workaround, you can dump the logstream records to SMF file and process the file through CICS PA. See the topic Obtaining records from SMF log streams in the z/OS documentation for information on how to dump the logstream records.
