Currently the tryout panel will just return whatever son you type in, it won't do any formatting. This isn't so important though. What's most important is that the formatting shows up in your channel for your users. So it really depends how you deployed your bot and where it is. Slack/Facebook have their syntaxes, our simple app uses HTML formatting, etc., so it really depends where it is to respond. But you should just type whatever is needed int he JSON, escape any reserved characters as needed, and it will send to your channel.
