Standalone database or not in Spectrum LSF RTM
I have a couple of LSF clusters, including some extra large ones. I want to know if I need an independent database server.
Accepted answer
On the Database server you will need to have PCIe Flash systems. I would recommend two to four units either Raid 1 for 4TB or Raid 0 fro upwards of 12TB of local storage. In comparison to the value of RTM data, this investment is priceless. Never use NFS for MySQL storage in the future for this type of application.
